‘Four Sisters Wines’
Last year four sisters – Margaret Block from Violet Town, Barbara Toogood from Ballarat, Lynette Weeks from Ocean Grove and Jo Malham from Donald, decided they would like to exhibit their art work together. This was something they had wanted to do for some time. They determined to hold four combined exhibitions in 2016, one in each of our home towns or home districts.
They have called their exhibitions “Four Sisters”.
These four exhibitions will be unique events that will showcase their diverse genres and media and will highlight their four very individual different approaches to art.
It is planned that the exhibitions will include pastel drawings, ink, textile art, sculpture, quilting and other assorted media, and will showcase a fascinating range of techniques.
Four Sisters Exhibition 2016 will be a travelling exhibition, the dates and venues are:
Lynette – Tussock Upstairs Gallery, Point Lonsdale. January 25 – February 14. Opening will be Saturday January 30, 3-5pm.
Margaret – Supper Room, Violet Town Community Hall. April 8 – 10. Opening will be Saturday April 9, 3pm
Barbara – Backspace Gallery, Ballarat. August 18 – 28. Opening will be Saturday August 20 (time to be decided)
